All the 22 booths in the foyer fair hall on the ground floor have been reserved by about 15 different companies. Therefore, we added eight more booths right in front of the office of "School of Computer Technology" on the first floor.
We have decided to move the launch ceremony from the area outside the fair hall to the area in the center of the fair hall.

MEETING BY THE MAIN COMMITTEES The main committees held a meeting this afternoon. The results are as follows: 1. The pc fair, "IT World 2005" will merge with another two major events by the School of Computer Technology (SCT): "Industrial Partnership Connectivity" and the "Disable Project". These 3 events will be launch together. 2. There is a major event on the 28th which cannot accommodate the participants. So, the "IT World 2005" will be conduct in 2 days only not 3 days.
Another batch of new poster designs has been submitted. These posters look fairly concise and professional. They are designed by Louis' two friends, whose names are Yap Jiad Li and Liew Liquan.
"Thunder Match Technology Sdn. Bhd." will participate and take two booths in the pc fair. Whether this company will became a vendor or a sponsor has not been confirmed.
We happily announce that one new poster design has been submitted. This poster, which is much better than the previous one, was designed by Mariyam and her friends.
Mr. Andy from "Index Diversified Sdn Bhd" visited our college and checked out the fair hall in the morning. He expressed an intention of the famous flash-storage device brand "PenDrive" to participate in the pc fair as a sponsor.
The exclusive distributor of the speaker brand "Edifier" has received our invitation and expressed an intention to participate.
We are looking for sponsors who can sponsor the game competition on the 26th and 27th of October. Requirements: 1. Lend 6 desktops that can support 3D games such as "Need for Speed: Underground" 2. Lend 2 sets of LCD projector/screen to be set beside the 6 desktops 3. Gifts for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners. Reimbursements: 1. Sponsors can showcase their products' performance and services offered at the pc fair. 2. We will provide a free booth for sponsors who can fulfill any of our requirements. (The number of free booths depends on the number of requirements, sponsors are willing to sponsor.) Objective: The game competition is an added feature of the pc fair. The objective of holding the game competition is to boost up the pc fair. For quite a number of our students are very enthusiasts in game competition. Visitors are invited to join in the game, too.
Event Description:
On the first day (26th), there will be an opening ceremony in the morning. The launch of IT WORLD 2005 consists of the pc fair "It World 2005" and another two major events by the School of Computer Technology (SCT): "Industrial Partnership Connectivity" and the "Disable Project". These 3 events will be launch together. After the IT WORLD 2005 is launched, the pc fair's program for the day and the next day (27 th ) is as below: A game competition will be held in the center of the fair hall. Vendors will be at their selected booth to promote their products and services available. This pc fair event is organized and done by the students of Information Systems under a subject named "Economics of Business IT". This event is part of the students' assignment where students are graded accordingly to their performance in this event. Each group consists of 3 persons is in-charge of seeking a vendor for this pc fair and assist them with their sales.
Booth Specification:
Concerning Vendors: To be a vendor of this event, your company need to pay RM 250.00 for two days per booth and sell IT relevant products, either hardware or software.
Concerning Sponsors: To be a sponsor of "IT World 2005", you can sponsor us in several manners: a. Lending us desktops (at least 6), which are perfectly capable of running 3-D games like "Need for Speed:Underground" and "Counter-Strike" for two days for free; b. Lending us LCD projectors (at least 2, along with projector screens) for the game competition for two days for free; c. Offering us your products as awards for the game competition or as souvenirs; d. Sponsoring us in forms of cash or cheque, so that we will be able to publicize the event in newspapers; e. Helping us with the fair hall decoration (Eg. Setting up booths, placing balloons, string lights, plants, etc.).
Advantage of being a Sponsor: a. Each sponsor will get two free booths at least. We may offer more free booths if the sponsor's contribution is admirable ; b. Sponsor's logo will appear in our main banner; c. Sponsor is allowed to put its banner outside main entrance of the fair hall in the foyer; d. A good business opportunity for the sponsor to advertise its company, to promote and to sell its products; e. A company who sponsors us enough money for the newspaper advertisement will become our main sponsor and get its logo included in our poster in the newspaper.
